Hazy Sun is an independent film production company based in New York, focused on developing and producing original stories across narrative and nonfiction.

We believe the most powerful films begin with something human. Our work explores culture, identity, relationships, community and the experiences that connect us—while leaving room to tell stories across genres, from documentaries to narrative features.

Founded by filmmakers Tevin Foster and Jamal Smart, Hazy Sun is building a home for original ideas, filmmaker-driven storytelling and films we believe deserve to exist.
